Vande Holsteins was established in the late 1940's when Bruce's parents Glenn & Marjorie Vande Zande bought the farm from Glenn's Uncle Tom and Aunt Ruby. They began their herd by buying registered calves from area herds.
By the Mid 50's they had an entire registered Black and White herd. In 1979 Bruce joined them and built their herd up to an entire homebred herd. In 1997 Bruce's dad died and Bruce began a dream of his and bought his first Red and White Holstein. Wilstar RS Cranberry was his first purchase. Since that time Bruce has worked hard to build up to a 95% Registered Red and White Holstein herd.

Vande Holsteins as a family now enjoys being in the show ring and takes in about 5 shows a year with WDE being the highlight. The show ring has been successful with winning of Grand Champion Jr Show, All Americans and many other awards.
Vande Holsteins looks to the future with trying to expand their Red and Whites, and continuing to market bulls and a few embryos. We welcome visitors to come see what we are developing.
